Protect This House

My love affair with Under Armour began a few years ago when a former co-worker of mine mentioned Under Armour as his new account. He described Under Armour in glowing terms - clothing fit for gods...the best work-out clothes you can buy...the official gear of the NFL. I didn't entirely buy the story, as this former co-worker is inclined to hyperbole. How could it really be that much better than anything, say, Nike or Adidas put out? But, the next time I was out at Dick's with an intention to purchase, I picked myself up an Under Armour sports-bra/shirt combo. The first time I wore my new shirt to run, I do believe the angels sang. It was glorious. I felt good. I looked good. And I ran better than I felt or looked. Magic.

Under Armour keeps you warm in the winter and cool in the summer. It can be sleek and fitted or loose and comfy. It's durable and washable. It's exceedingly stylish. And, as you can imagine, it's pretty darn expensive too. That's why when I caught a sign on my way up to Cleveland this weekend, I was thrilled. An Under Armour outlet store is coming to Jeffersonville soon! Whoo hoo! I can indulge in my Under Armour desires without feeling guilty!

Protect this house. That's a tag line I'm willing to live by.

Wine, Anyone?

I recently had a party. Each couple arrived with a bottle of wine. And then one thoughtful fellow arrived with these...

He had carved out of wood for me two abstract wine holders. This first one is made from what he called "blood wood". The red is it's natural color and it is gorgeous.

I'm not sure what this second one is made of, but it seems to only hold up chardonnay.

Thanks, Jeff!!
