Have you ever?

Have you ever waited so long to get your oil changed that you felt embarrassed about getting it changed so you wait even longer to take it in, but then finally you can't wait any longer because your check engine light has come on and it's a truly pressing situation so you give yourself a little pep talk about how the people at jiffylube have no right to judge you because they have no idea what your life is like and all the things you have going on that make it impossible for you to remember to get your oil changed and if they were so great and could remember things so perfectly than they wouldn't actually be working at jiffylube and thinking about how stupid this chick in a perfectly good car is not to change her oil more often?

I miss my SMITW(ah)

He's away in the Phillipines, and I'm missing him something fierce.

I like to make things difficult

I've been sitting at this computer all day. All weekend, really. Writing. And re-writing. It's a personal truth that I will spend as along as I think I have on a project. (Project Management 101, says the former project manager) So, because I had 4 days to work on a research paper...it took me ALL FOUR DAYS to work on a research paper. Habits die hard.

It had better be a damn good paper.

Reinforcement that the lessons of "What Not to Do" never end

Until today, I firmly believed that inhaling cola was pretty much the worst thing I could possibly do to my lungs (having nearly perished once in a freak cola accident). But people, let me tell you, the suffering cola can impart pales in comparison to inhaling salsa juice. I wanted to vomit from my lungs but could not do it.

From this day forward, I will not speak with a mouth full of chips and salsa. That is a personal vow. I encourage you to adopt this vow for yourself.
